Day 22 Progress Update

Not much to report today, but I do have a list of the top 10 performers in the safelists as far as clicks go anyway. Got a total of 144 clicks in the last 24 hours. No new referrals. I may have lost one as the backoffice only shows 4 in the contest standings now whereas it was showing 5.

Anyway here is the list of the top ten sites for clicks after about 1500+ clicks:

Site                                          Clicks
www.newage-mkt.com            179
www.gotsafelist.com                146
twe-safelist.com                       113
mysafelistmailer.com                  79
listbuildingmaximizer.com           72
www.themailbagsafelist.com      55
adtroopers.com                         55
qualitysafelist.com                      52
globalsafelist.com                       47
safelistxl.com                             40

Clearly Newage Market Safelist, GotSafelist and Together We Earn Safelist are leading the pack everyday.

Side note: The safelist sites are way out performing the text-ad exchanges. The TAE solos are really dismal at best in the clicks they are getting.

Day 21 Progress Update

Today was a good day not so much for getting any new referrals because I didn't, but for the fact of the 5 referrals I do have now at least one of them is actively working the system. Since I joined this thing I wondered how we could tell if any of our referrals were active or not and today I discovered one way to tell.

How you ask? You start getting messages at your contact email address that you have a new referral in some of the safelists.

I asked some of the veteran members how you could tell and the answer I was given was that you could see their referral count inside the system's backoffice in the contest area. I hadn't been seeing any so as far as I knew all of my referrals were lookie-luus. But today I have a little proof that one of them is active and thats a good thing!

Day 20 Progress Update

Today is day 20 in my journey, I'm on task list 24 in the backoffice. I sent an email to my upline sponsor yesterday with my stats and telling him of my progress. No reply back from him yet. Got a surprisingly low 82 clicks yesterday. I haven't been paying any real attention to the [erformance of certain days but I would have thought Sunday would be one of the best.

But then again it was Mother's Day and that might account for the low click volume.

No new referrals since the two yesterday. Going to go click some solo links for a while and build up credits again. Heres a bit of useful info for you. Of the overall stats to my 10K Challenge bitly link (over 1400 clicks total now to it) NewageMKT safelist seems to be the most active, followed by GotSafelist and Louise Cardow's TWE-Safelist.

Anyway thats all for today. If you've subscribed to this blog and keeping up with my progress I invite you to join me in the challenge. Click here to join me and I will do my best to help you succeed.

Day 19 Progress Update

Wow can't believe it's been a week since I've made an update post. This past week was really hectic and I didn't get to work everyday on the 10K Challenge task list. But the good news is I now have 5 referrals here on my 19th day into the challenge.

Some stats for you: On day 19 I can mail out 59k emails daily and with the other safelists accounts that allow mailings anywhere from 2 - 4 days intervals or just weekly that adds another 42k emails that can be sent.

I'm averaging between 200 - 400 clicks per day. So 5 referrals is pretty good at this point I think.

Thats all for today. I'm hoping this week to be more active and of course keep this journal updated a little more frequently. From what I'm seeing so far this system will work, but the key is you HAVE TO WORK the system.

Day 12 Progress Update

Today's update may rub some people the wrong way and some people might actually see it as negative. But really it's not, it is the truth whether the veterans of the program want to admit it or not.

Okay, so you're wondering what I could say that may be so controversial? Well here it is and remember I'm just reporting what I know and you all should know is the truth if you've been in the 10K Challenge for anything over a week.

You will never make it in this program if you follow it to the "T" and only use the recommended ad sources.

Now let me qualify that statement and please hear me out.

The other day we got a system wide email from the program originator Debbie Penner that stated that the 10K Challenge membership count is now beyond 7000 members. Now think about that... if all of the members are using the same ad sources then you know they are getting saturated big time with the same ads over and over causing people to get ad blindness to 10K Challenge ads.

But we all know that there aren't 7000 active members, in fact I'd place my bet on roughly 10% of that or 700 members being actually active in this program.

Still that's a huge amount of people using the same ad sources.

Now anyone that uses the recommended ad sources has to admit that right now you are seeing tons of ads for 10K Challenge. You can spot them a mile away because people are such copy cats they use each others subject lines like sheep jumping a log.

Okay, I hope you're still with me as I'm going to bring this all back home for you now.

If you haven't figured it out here is what the real goal is in having the daily tasks and why we were given a straight set of ad sources...

...it's to get you used to doing a daily routine of promoting - plain and simple!

Had we not of been given a list of places to place our ad promos 99 out of 100 people who joined this program would never have even gotten started because they would not know where to start. Being as such they would never get into a daily routine of promoting their links everyday.

So the moral of the story is this first 30 days you are being trained to think like a marketer and develop a daily routine of promoting yourself. However I hope you catch on to the saturation problem quickly and start thinking a little for yourself and using your own ad sources.

Of course if you really want to just stick to the ones given in the system then try and come up with a way to make yourself unique from the rest of the masses promoting the same links over and over.

And finally my stats for the day 160 new views from yesterday to my links and no new referrals.

I created a video yesterday to promote my 10K Challenge referral link. I'm also testing a view booster site that for now I want to keep under wraps until I see if it really helps boost my rankings on Youtube like it claims it does.

I'll keep you informed of the progress of that as well.

Thats it for today. I'll be back tomorrow with another update till then - Keep plugging and please don't be a sheep. :)

Day 11 Progress Update

Well didn't have a very productive day yesterday. Due to some other obligations I got started late and since most of the safelists used in this system work on a 24 hour timer I didn't want to throw off my schedule of working the system. I did however register accounts with the last of the new safelists that were unlocked for Day 14 in the tasks list and sent out a promo ad for those new accounts.

Out of those promos I sent I got an additional 88 clicks to my link, but no referrals. So currently I'm sitting at around 600 clicks to my referral link with one referral.

Got an email from Debbie Penner this morning announcing a new feature that was enabled in the 10k Challenge backoffice. We can now see the signup date for our referrals. This is pretty cool in that we can now have a rough estimate of when to expect our referrals to pass their 30 day mark and become a real active member in our downlines if they choose to upgrade in the system's first program Infinity Downline.

Thats all for today. Tomorrow I hope to have more activity to report.

Day 10 Progress Update

Sent out almost 80,000 promos yesterday. My click tracking shows an increase of 220 clicks so sending out more is definitely helping to get more clicks. However no new referrals and it appears the one I got from Day 6 is a non-active referral. So basically I'm at ground zero again.

No biggie, its still way early in the game. After I've had a few thousand clicks its time to be more concerned not right now with just barely over 500 clicks.

The weekend is coming up and I'm going to devote some time to promoting in other ways as well as the system recommended venues. I'll keep you posted. :)

Day 9 Progress Update

Yesterday was my official 8th day in the 10k Challenge. I'm up to the 12th day in the daily tasks though. 3 more safelists were unlocked in yesterday's task list. I logged into all of the safelists that are unlocked now and the ones that allowed me to I send out another promo.

Checked my hit stats and the total hits to my referral link is now 257 up 89 from the previous 168 total.

No new referral signups today.

Today I'm trying a little SEO backlinking strategy to try and get my custom splash ranking in the search engines. You can take a look at it here: http://the10kchallenge.weebly.com

My 10k Challenge Review & Progress First Post

Hi my name is Rick Roberts. I just recently joined The 10k Challenge program and after my first week I've decided to start keeping a log of how things are going and my progress with the system.

So while I'm a few days into the 10k Challenge system now (day 8 to be exact) I feel I can give an accurate review and yes, I do have some progress to share as well.

First off lets answer the obvious question that most people first finding out about the 10k challenge might be asking... "Whats it all about?"

In a nutshell the program is a systematical approach to building an online income through step-by-step instructions provided by the program originator Debbie Penner. The primary goal of the program is to setup a daily routine of small bite size tasks that one can easily accomplish (the stated goal is 35 minutes a day). The ultimate goal and where you will earn an income from the system is by getting referrals under you that will be just as eager to succeed and work the system daily as well.

One thing I'd like to make clear upfront is that everything during your first 30 days into this challenge is completely free just as the main 10k challenge website claims. I was pleased to find out this is the actual truth as many systems and programs of this sort are deceptive about the claim of being free to join but then try to hook you with an upgrade right off the bat.

Luckily this program isn't like that, it really is totally free during this first 30 days.

Thats the basics of what the program is all about. The fine print details are to follow.

Day One - Motivational & Getting Organized

So lets start with day one and the first days tasks in The 10k Challenge. Your 1st day of the program is all about getting organized. The first tasks are to setup three Gmail accounts that you will use for various functions of the daily tasks. One will be your main email contact for the program that you will use for all communications to your referrals and downlines. It is stressed that this email only be used for the challenge and not used elsewhere so you will know if there is any email to this account it is about the 10k challenge in one way or another.

The next two Gmail accounts are to be used for the daily ad promotion tasks that you are given to complete. Again the reason for two accounts is strictly for organizational purposes. Gmail accounts are free and you can have tons of them so this is really a great idea.

The second task for day one is to register with two of the recommended advertising services (don't worry they are free so no cost is involved). After completing these two accounts signups you enter your referral links into the members area downline builder section so that any of your referrals will use your links to signup for these services.

There are 5 videos on day one that explain a lot of the process and whats to come including a first video thats more or less a motivational video to help you understand what The 10k Challenge is all about and how you will succeed if you stick to the plan.

Once you've completed the day one tasks there is a link you can click which will change the day one link in the system's navigational window to a highlighted grey background, thus helping you see easily where you stand in the daily tasks.

Day Two - More Setup and Registrations

The tasks for day two are 1) read the FAQ (frequently asked questions) page about the challenge and 2) signup for two more ad services, of course updating your referral links in the downline builder for these two new accounts.

Now I'm not going to go through each day listing what the tasks are because my main purpose of listing the first two days worth was to show you how simple each day's tasks are. The claim is that each day's tasks can be completed in just 35 minutes. That might not be true for everyone because a lot of it depends on how competent your are with a computer and if you would need to watch all of the instructional videos before getting started.

There are other factors that make each one of us work at a different pace as well. So take the claim of just 35 minutes a day work with a grain of salt. For a lot of people it could be less and certainly for some it will take longer.

But as no matter what your skills are in less than an hour a day everyone can complete the daily tasks.

Alright for you overachievers and those really eager to get going in the program the good news is that from your very first day 4 days worth of tasks are unlocked. So if you have the time to devote to getting things setup initially you could complete the first four days tasks all in your first day.

Btw... it is on day four where you begin the first of your daily promotions for those of you that are curious.

Each day the main system website will unlock a new day's tasks for you to complete and by day 11 in the tasks list you will have 12 or 13 places to post your ad promotions. Again I want to stress that you may or may not be able to complete all of the promotions in the 35 minute allotted time frame, but you certainly will be able to do all of this in less than an hour still.

Okay, so in the beginning of this review I promised to tell you about my results so far and here it is.

On my 6th day (day 9 according to the system's tasks list - yes, I'm an overachiever) I got my first referral. I'm on my actual 8th day in the system now (day 12 in the system task list) and haven't gotten another referral yet. But thats to be expected so don't be discouraged by that. Remember the primary goal of the 10k Challenge program is to instill in you a daily routine. I can't stress how important this is.

No matter if by your own day 8, 10, 12 or more you haven't gotten a referral yet keep plugging away at it because they will come if you stay diligent to the daily routine.

And the big question everyone asks, "How do you make money with The 10k Challenge?"

As you can probably see already to achieve the ultimate goal of earning an income from the program you must get referrals that will follow you into the other paid systems and programs you will be joining after your first 30 days.

Now since I've not been in the program past the 30 day mark yet I can't give you exact details on what happens at this point (stay tuned though as I will be). From the main website we can see examples of some of the other programs that we will eventually be joining.

Of those are "Infinity Downline", "NPN", "Adtactics", and "List Building Maximizer" all of which are excellent and highly reputable systems and programs. Now also on the main page is the claim that if you have a referral that follows you in these four programs your monthly income from that referral will be around $291.00. Not bad for just one referral.

So if you are one of the astute readers of this review I know you must be saying to yourself, "If I'm making $291 I must be paying this out as well." And you would be correct.

However when you actually read the FAQ (and its repeated inside the main website as well) if you stick to the plan and develop the daily routine of promoting all that will ever come out of pocket is the first $25 I assume for Infinity Downline.

One should have a few active referrals (and by that I mean referrals that ARE sticking to the plan - not the lookie-loo referrals that you will also signup that never do anything) that will within days be following behind you and joining the paid programs as well.

Again I'm not at the 30 day mark yet so I can't tell you the actual facts of what happens at this point. If you are a 10k Challenge member reading this review and can share some information here your comments would be more than welcome. :)

Lets wrap this up now - The good and bad

The Good:
  • The program truly is ad advertised completely free for the first 30 days.
  • The program has an excellently laid out daily task list.
  • The program's daily task lists are easy to complete and anyone even those with no Internet Marketing experience.
  • Totally affordable to everyone, I mean everyone has $25 they can invest into themselves.

The Bad:
  • Not really a bad thing, but the program does require work. You CANNOT succeed if you don't take action.
  • Attracts a lot of lookie-loo non-action takers. You know they type - the ones looking for a pie-in-the-sky one button solution to overnight wealth.
  • Totally dependent on having an active and communicative upline for the times you need help or have questions.
  • Lack of accountability, currently there is no built in checks and balances to be able to tell if your downline referrals are actually working the system.
  • No reward system for keeping you motivated during the first 30 days.

Summary

I'm very excited about The 10k Challenge program because of its organization properties and ease of implementation of the system's plan. I've already seen positive results from doing the daily tasks so that in itself proves to me that the daily tasks are effective. So in summary at this point I would highly recommend The 10k Challenge to anyone that serious and willing to devote the time to succeed.

To quote the slogan on the main website, "A river cuts through rock, not because of its power, but because of its persistence."
